Insurance Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Two clear ways to stay covered: bring your own full-coverage policy, or add Redline coverage at checkout. Here's exactly how each one works.
01Your two options
Every Redline rental must be insured. You can choose whichever option fits you best when you book:
- Use your own full-coverage policy — at no additional cost from us.
- Add Redline coverage — a flat daily rate that varies by vehicle, added at checkout.
02Using your own insurance
If you carry a personal auto policy with full coverage (comprehensive and collision), you may use it for your rental at no extra charge. You'll need to upload:
- Your current insurance card
- Your policy declaration page showing coverage types and limits
Your policy must be active for the entire rental period and provide coverage that extends to the rented vehicle. Please confirm with your insurer that exotic and high-value vehicles are covered — some personal policies exclude them. If your coverage can't be verified, you can switch to Redline coverage.
03Adding Redline coverage
No qualifying policy? No problem. Many of our guests use Redline coverage — it's one of the reasons renting with us is so simple. Coverage is offered on every vehicle at a flat daily rate that varies by car, shown clearly when you select it at checkout.
Redline coverage is designed to get you on the road quickly without a separate insurance application. The exact terms, limits, and any deductible for your selected vehicle are provided with your rental agreement.
04Damage, deductibles & responsibility
Regardless of which option you choose, the renter is responsible for the vehicle during the rental period. In the event of damage, loss, or theft:
- If you use your own insurance, claims are handled through your policy, and you are responsible for your policy's deductible and any amounts not covered.
- If you use Redline coverage, any applicable deductible and terms are disclosed on your rental agreement.
A refundable security deposit is held at pickup and may be applied toward damage, deductibles, or related costs.
05What insurance does not cover
Insurance never covers costs that result from misuse of the vehicle, including:
- Traffic citations, tolls, parking tickets, and related fees
- Damage from prohibited use (racing, track use, off-road, or illegal acts)
- Interior damage, excessive cleaning, or damage from smoking
- Fuel, mileage overage, and late-return charges
See our Terms of Service for the full list of prohibited uses.
